Today being the best day in the galaxy, we managed to get all our work done early and had a brief chat about Star Wars and why it is culturally significant. As very few of them have seen it I figured why not, lets watch it. This generation find older movies so hard to watch :( We will finish watching this tomorrow and talk about how it relates to our Language Arts course. I was not here yesterday, seems the sub said that all the students had a good day!
We managed to get outside for a short amount of time this morning as well they have Music first thing with Ms. Lee. In Math we went over the questions we did yesterday when I was not here. We will start the next section tomorrow and I hope to have a quiz at the end of next week. In Religion we started some work on the Sikh religion which we started last week. A google assignment was posted last week. We will continue with this next class. In Science, we worked on a couple of sheets on physical and chemical changes as well as reversible and non-reversible changes. The quiz will now be next Monday as to align with Ms. Whites Class. Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone, we had a wonderful day in class. I did have to remind the kids that while the snow is gone it's still very cold and they should dress for that. Snow pants also create insulation from the cold. Maybe I'm too old, I'm still all bundled up!! Students also played a french game with Ms. White and had Gym with Mr. Worthman. In Math we briefly talked a little bit about the next unit. Some students got to do their quiz and I passed out notes for the Fractions Unit. Students also completed a survey which took an hour with Ms. Blackmore that they complete every few years on school life, as well as they had a short presentation on the virtual library that was set up by Ms. Harris.
Overall the students were quite active with lots of visitors. Have a great weekend!! |
